clashing moves and priority?
Clashing
It seems very silly when two people hit eachother that both get hit. There have been may times where the opponent and I have hit eachother with a dash attack or we just keep jabbing eachother. The fact that nothing is put in the game makes these situations stupid. It doesn't add anything to the game and only faster characters take advantage of this. In Smash Melee, when characters moves clashed, then cooldown would seem to almost instantly reset making both player have to think quickly whether they want to switch back to nuetral or if they want to go in. In RoA, all it does is create this akward moment where only some characters take advantage.

Priority
People have proven that this game doesn't have moves that take priority. This doesn't seem to be a big deal but often enough, a powerful move gets stopped by an accidental jab. Like Zetter doing a down special into someone's jab. Today, as Kragg, I threw a rock at Etalus, he dash attacked it, and I got hit by the shards... Since when is charging at a projectile a good idea? To think about whether it was just me, I began to think about other fighting games and I can't think of one where it's a good idea to charge at an opponent's projectile and it hurts that character!

so what you're saying is
buff kragg's rock by giving it a disjoint so fthrow is the best move in the game? priority is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid, so this is clearly the only thing you want here

I really just used Kragg's rock as an example. I play him the most so it's an issue that I run into often. For other examples, there are times where someone is doing a very high damage move and I accidently started a nuetral air with kragg and it interrupts their move... it just feels wrong. So there is a case where it could be nerfed.

Keep in mind im not disagreeing with you.
Do you never run into instances where you interupt someone's move when it didn't feel like you should have?
How exactly is priority stupid?

there's never a moment where it feels like i shouldn't have when the hitbox for my move is better and i've outplayed them, that's how it should be in every game. plus, hitting kragg's rock out of the air is both a completely necessary option for everyone to have and you might as well say remove parrying if you want it to always hit them.

can't argue how it's an option for everyone to do. Evidently, it is something that a lot of people take advantage of. Parrying shouldn''t be taken out because is it a defensive action (really the only defensive block type move in the game). I just have a history of smash and the idea of dash attacking a charge beam from Samus, to stop the attack, sounds ridiculous. Now, I know this is a different game but often when people are running straight at me, not ready to parry, and I throw the rock, they can simply attack it mid flight and that is almost better than parrying it...

You're right, I guess. In this game it does seem to be a viable strategy to deal with Kragg's Rock. I posted this discussion because it seemed screwy to me and I was also curious if anyone felt the same. Thank you for you're input though. Many people, who disagree, wouldn't bother explaining it.
