Sylvanos
He seems to be the "I'm hard to play, but I'm a pure demon if used right!" type of fighter. Any tips on dealing with his stage maniulation tatics?

As a sylvanos main I may be able to offer help. I will state before hand I am no where near a pro, but I do know my way around his moveset.

1. Do not stay airborn or grounded for long amounts of time. He is the king of the ground when it comes to zoning out an opponent, if his grass is grown on an area be prepaired to short hop or full on jump if you see any signs he's about to use a grass reliant ability like petal wave or his howl. However it's a bad idea to remain above him as well. He has his up smash, n-special, and his various air moves to juggle/knock you out of the sky, this being made more powerful by grass lowering his air move end lag apon landing.

2. Never be directly above a sylvanos if you can help it, his normal seed shot (neutral special) can stun you in mid air with its multi hit. Which can leave you open to almost all of his anti air abilities. Thats all I can say for that outside of playing ori, because ori is about the only one with an air based "reflect" like ability that parry has on the ground for projectials.

3. Either out range him, or be in his face constantly. Sylvanos, like other spacers benifit from being able to control where the opponent is, but still needs to be a certain distance to be effective. Take this bit of advice with a pinch of salt as most sylvanos mains will be expecting something of this sort and will be able to either peel you off of them or close the gap at a moments notice.

4. Destroy the flower. In all seriousness I've won a multiple games, both against friends and randoms, because the other player just didn't destroy my flower, letting me get the powerful emerging hitbox from the up special or being able to howl just before death for an extra hit and a garunteed full platform of grass when I respawn.

5. (thought of this after hitting post) Play him. and see how other players go about countering you, that is quite possibly the fastest and easiest way to see the weaknesses of a character.

If you ever want to pick sylvanos up I'd be more than willing to offer bits of advice in the other direction aswell.

I hope this was helpful. Have a nice day.
