You need to keep practicing until you'll get it... Sometimes it can get really frustrating so don't try to practice for hours trying to do something that seems impossible to you (best way to disgust you of the game)
Most the time it's a timing issue (you shouldn't jump) and you need to press the button faster or just a bit slower.
Personnaly, there are techniques so hard to do, I never ever use them while playing.
But I'm glad I got the achievement, what you're probably trying to do as well.
Trust me, I know Mortal Kombat isn't for me. I bought X when it came out, could barely even play against regular CPUs. Though I have gotten better at fighting games in general, having played hours upon hours of SSBU and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
I got through it now. I really do think it was glitched for me last night- I tried for ages, and never even got it to say I was doing it right (With the indicator in the bottom left, separate from how many times you've successfully pulled off the bair along with it.
But within like, 10 minutes of trying it after waking up (And doing the character specific tutorials first, which were sometime frustrating in their own right. I shut the game off last night at Orcane's upstrong slide.) I got it.
The bair hitfall upstrong also evoked some... Strong words from me.
MK11 has a tutorial which is hell, I didn't even succeed it even after trying many times, I gave up... I also remove the game from my hard drive because it's way too much grinding when it's supposed to be the kind of game you pick up to play here and there (of course you can always get better and get into online competition).
Killer Instinct also has the same issue with impossible commands to execute.
Luckily, Rivals of Aether can stay simple and enjoyable without the hard to learn and even harder to execute techniques.
Out of all the players, I wonder how many actually use those commands?
