How do you actually equip custom colors for characters
Is that not a thing i can do? I feel like it should be but idk what to do.
I created the custom colors and saved them but when it comes to changing buttons my custom selection does'nt appear in game

On the Main Menu, go to Extras, then to custom colors.

You set them there, save, go to any mode you'd like, and you'll be able to switch to them.

I tried this and it simply did not work

Yeah well im making the color pallet saving it and switching the colors in the chracter select screen so i am, and your comment is the least helpful.

same for me i make them, save them, go into a match, but i cant apply them in any way, i try applying them like in smash bros where i just click the char icon but nothing.

only mode where you can't use custom color is ranked mode. try to use the rl button after choosing your character, you will be able to cycle though color skin for the selected character. the one with a gray square and a C on it are your custom.

for me, it work...

Shoulder buttons on a controller. I think L1/R1, can't remember if L2/R2 also do it.

On keyboard, your assigned dodge key.

Or the confirm button/key while pointing at your character's portrait (the one at the bottom where the players' selected characters are displayed)... assuming I'm not just confusing it with other Smash-likes that allow this. Haven't played in a while, sorry.
