So what are the rune restrictions?

runes take up 1/2/3 spaces. You need to level up a character to unlock more spaces to use runes. At level 10 you should have about 8 spaces available. This means you could fit two tier 3 runes and one tier 2 rune. You unlock runes by using coins you earn from almost all game modes. You can use runes in Endless Abyss and Abyss Versus modes. There is a bug that is preventing people from equipping runes at the moment. People have solved the issue by exiting the game and opening it again. It's an annoying work around, but I'm sure it will be patched soon.

Gotcha, must have caught the bug, I thought certain runes were inconpatible because I couldn't fill up all my available slots.
