...What? In the Tower of Heaven stage, with stage hazards on, the effect of "don't touch a living thing" doesn't apply to other characters...

I'll be serious now: These are obviously gameplay/story limitations; I just felt like pointing them out...
The story looks to me like it's set up with unrelated battles between scenes, except a few specific ones like the final battle for each character.
Narratively and thematically ... yeah, this is a fighting/brawling game, don't expect much in this department beyond the interstitial cutscenes.
Personally, (as someone who wasn't following this game's development) I think it's fine, though I wouldn't mind if Absa and Etalus were added to it somehow.
