Is there a game like Nimbatus but with more scripting?

plasma, they just abandoned development and made it free so it wouldnt hurt to try (however theres no combat unless you build the enemy drones)

Nimbatus , about 20$ on sale right now , its exactly what you want. Its still in early acces but its already pretty advanced as it is right now so.

Cosmoteer does look interesting, i'll check it out, but what i'm looking for is something more along the lines of the programmer route in Nimbatus, where you can make drones that run and finishes the level by itself.

I know that the game Mindustry has fully integrated programming where you can write actual code to move your units around and manage your factory. Probably the most potential out of any game I've seen.

Minedustry is great. It's up there with Factorio for me

So this and the other things it lists at the bottom have been around for a very long time if the Geocities look doesn't clue you in.

Nothing like the graphical quality of Nimbatus and nothing at all of 'design'.

The drones are all the same design and the goal is putting the best code into one.

The bonus to it all being ancient is that it is free. I'm pretty sure it all survives in various niche corners and discords and such. This stuff started back in dial-up BBS days.
