How do you get red crystals???
For the love of me, cant figure it out. Besides gathering them in planets, i dont see any other way to get them, and they are essential apparently. The amount you get in planets is ridiculous, and you will die way before you can even get enough to repair the nimbatus. And even then, the only few you get you need to use em on repairs...

I am missing something?

Also, is there a way to get a description of what does each module?? tons of them but im clueless about what to do with them.

Well, thanks for the no replies, i guess i will need to just put to rest this game since i find it rather stupid and with so many fails. Cant ask for a refund so better forget it as soon as possible.

Hi n3mes1s

You're right, the main way of getting red resource is through mining on planets. You can get them through planet rewards or at the end of a galaxy, but the most reliable way of gathering them is really mining, I'm sorry.

On which difficulty-setting are you playing? We know the survival-mode was balanced in a way which is sometimes very unforgiving. For people who like the building aspect, but don't like the threat&deploy cost mechanic, we have the option to play the game without that with sandbox settings.

Here's a small guide on how to set it up:

As for parts explanation, we don't have anything in-game. There's a wiki which players helped set up, but it's not yet completed. Take a look and tell me if something you need to know is missing, then I can explain it here :)

Thanks for your post and let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

For future player reference, red crystals are pretty hard to come by early game. Most early planets have very few red crystals, AND without scanners you cannot locate them on the minimap or even penetrate fog for likely areas. Nor are you going to have decent drilling equipment.

First suggestion would be to destroy every cargo holder and scrap ship you find. They may drop a chest. Always equip a magnet early game as the cost is minimal. Use the magnet to drop the chest into your tank for a small red crystal boost.
This adds up and is well worth it early game.

As the game progresses, you will want to unlock the minimap to level 3 ASAP! That means hang onto red crystals and invest them into that at the garage and not other random stuff. And if you find an early scanner reward, grab it!

Once you can start a planet with a filled out minimap that shows resource locations, you will be MUCH more efficient at getting them. By then your hull will be beat up but you can now use all the extra red crystal to fix it up and invest in Stealth and cheaper/more parts.
