Certain buttons don't work

I can move and jump but that is it. I can't bring up said color wheel or use the X button. So technically I have a different problem from most people. My controller works for the most part it's just the X and the R button doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, looks like I might have the same problem.
The Esc key stopped working.

When I tried the game, I could bring up the menu with Esc without issues. The left mouse button (colour wheel) doesn't do anything either, but I'm not sure whether that's related to the fact that I've only found the colour 'blue' (I will test that later).

However, after some time, the Esc key stopped working. As a result, I cannot access the in-game menu anymore... or even quit the game without force-quitting it via Windows.

I think this started happening after I tried to activate Radeon Chill in the AMD Adrenalin software (because the game ran at 1100 fps, which is a waste of energy and makes my GPU run hot).
It didn't work, by the way; the game would still go up to 1100 fps.

I tried restarting Steam, restarting my PC, reinstalling the game multiple times, but the issue persists.
The game also remembers my progress even after reinstalling, although I switched off cloud saves. Not sure where I can find the saved data (deleting C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Hue didn't help, which was to be expected because only a log file remained in that folder after uninstallation).

Another interesting fact is that the Esc key IS recognized by the game when starting it up on the screen 'press any key'.
So maybe it's just the Esc key mapping that's messed up, somehow.

Shift+Esc also does not work.

Ah, I continued the game for a bit longer and then the game told me to press Esc (!) to bring up the colour wheel. I could change the colour to blue, and the rocks for the mine worker disappeared.
But after that, not a single key worked anymore.
I cannot move at all.

Such a shame, it seems to be a nice little game!

What exactly do you mean by '(I)'? I have the same problem, but on a PC. Help?

Sorry for the confusion!
(!) looks weird in steam, but actually it's just an exclamation mark between round brackets, haha! <-- (this is also an exclamation mark, why does it look so weird?)

It was just to put emphasis on the fact that the keybind for the colour wheel seemed to have changed to Esc.

To be clear, my problems are on a PC, as well. I don't own a controller, either.

got the same issue, can only mouve and jump with my controller. though any button work when I start the game... too bad!

I can only move with my Xbox controller, can't jump or bring up the colour wheel.

So naturally, I'm stuck on the starting area, unable to actually jump.

I got the same error as you guys.
I am working on a PC and I cannot move objects by pressing the action button Left Shift.

I had the same problem but there is a fix for xbox controller at least. Go to the game in your library, click manage>properties>controller>enable steam input. I believe this same trick will work for other games too.
