Crash on resolution change
Try to change the resolution and the game crashes. What year is this?

Actually, the game crashes when leaving any of the options menus. Even better.

Yes I already wrote about this 10 crashes in 5 minutes.
any option change causes the the game to crash.

Sad and annoying.

Funny. Even closing the game crashes the game.

What a great state to have the game in as it gets put in a Humble Bundle :bbtcat:

Hopefully a fix comes soon I guess

Open the game. Alt+Tab out of it. Go to Appdata/local/dungeonsouls. You will find a config in there. Use the task manager to close the game. Now open the config file and change fullscreen from value 1 to 0. Change the file to read only. Start the game again and it will be in window mode. Changing stuff in options still crashes games so you have to change all the stuff in the config file.

If it makes anybody feel any better, at least the bug is supported cross platform. The exact same problem happens on Linux.

So the solution to this, is to start the game, Alt+Tab out, go to AppData\Local\DungeonSouls open up configuration.ini. If you want to change the resolution to 1920x1080 change size from 5 to 6. Save the file. Then right click configuration.ini and hit properties. At the bottom check Read-Only. Hit Apply then OK. Now when the game launches it'll be fullscreen @ 1920x1080. Don't try to change any settings, you'll have to change them through the ini file.
Hey! We just reverted to the last working build. Can you verify your game cache integrity, see if you get the new update, and let me know if that fixes it? Thank you!

It hangs up, but doesn't crash, at least not when I leave the resolution options screen. Although I can't get it to go borderless full screen at my resolution, and the game black screens on startup. I've played with the trash setup and I will say, the game is fun, but the bugs are pretty upsetting.

It's only spawning tutorial-shaped levels with no enemies.

Just got the game from Humble Bundle today, Same issue going on as everyone else here.

Edit: Can't even play. Game crashes when I select any character.

Guys, if you got the game from Humble Bundle, use THEIR version that you download from your purchase page. That one works fine! The crashing seems to be an issue with the version of the game uploaded to Steam. You can replace the executable from your Steam downloaded version with the one you downloaded from Humble Bundle and it'll work fine as well. The issue is with the version they put on Steam.

Uh may I know how you did it? Im pretty dumb at these kinds of stuff. I downloaded it from Humble Bundle and they gave me an installation which installs the game on steam...

The Humble Bundle version crashes when I start it. It also brings up a Steam window which should not happen on a DRM free version. Something's fishy going on here.
