Why? All the story is presented in Dead Island 1. If you play Riptide without Dead Island you have basically no story so it will be feel stupid. On top of that at least so far the time I have played... everything is much better in Dead Island 1. The map is also better, prettier, more interesting, more places to use cars etc... Secondary missions make much more sense in Dead Island 1. Simply Dead Island 1 is much better than Riptide to the point Riptide feels like a rushed second part.
Very true. But yet I still prefer Riptide due to it having more jungle based map and I enjoyed the flooded jungle more than any other map in the series. Didn't care to much for Henderson though.
