Check the Boat Broken?

So I'm currently trying to acquire the boat.
Get to the boat.
Cant activate it at all to further the mission...good job

I've tried shutting down and restarting the previous checkpoint, still same thing.
Anyone experienced this or know of a fix? as currently my game is screwed :(

This Helped me: Attacking the boat from the front with a knife showed the prompt instantly

no interact option on the boat when i got to the boat so no way to progress it, stuck with check the boat

EDIT:
the interact option is in the water cause boat was not in its correct position

The interact option was on the boat at first, but then vanished after I came back from dealing with nearby enemies. I figured it was just a graphical glitch. So, I held the interact key F as I looked at the boat, and that is what worked for me.

I had the same issue yesterday and this fixed it. For anyone having trouble doing this: just crouch behind the boat (on the engine side) and punch/attack the boat while moving forward. It took me 5 seconds before seeing the "Press F to investigate" prompt.

And yeah, this bug still exists, and requires hitting the boat to make it intractable.

Honestly this is a P.O.S game and I'm done now, uninstalled this garbage.

Boring gameplay similar to the first game where hitting things is pretty much an annoyance, then there are constantly respawning enemies.. THE MOMENT YOU TURN YOUR BACK.

Some ♥♥♥♥ at Techland saw FarCry 2 and though "GEE, how can I make the gameplay worse? I know, constantly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ respawning enemies and items every corner. That's what gamers want right? Derp."

At this point, all Dead Island games are trashware.

EDIT: Left a review after uninstalling this and moving on.
