I played this game back in 2006 and it was preety much one of the best games i ever played.
Do you know any more titles that have gameplay like this.

Ionly know some from ps1, altho you can play them over emulator.

I can recommend Ape Escape from ps1 (that game rocks)
Bugs Bunny and Tazz - Timebusters ps1 (supports co-op and game is amazing, puzles,gameplay..)

Oddworld! Munch's Oddysee.
It's a crazy platformer with outrageous characters where everything is made up!

And by the same people (though not as similar to Psychonauts as Munch's Oddysee (because it's 50% platformer 50% First person shooter))

:) played that long time ago. Altho good game its not the genre like the previous games.

If you are looking for a game like Psychonauts than you definitely should play Evil Twin: Cyprien's Chronicles (2001).

You should also try:

Rayman 2, 3
Scrapland
American McGee's Alice
MDK 2

Other games by Tim Shafer, Shiny Entertainment, American McGee.
It depends on what you like the most in Psychonauts.

Yes, I own the original on disc... One of my fave games ever!!!! It's nothing like this game though, It's more of a 3d click and point game

I bought that game for my gf few months ago, the new part, alice returns.. Although first one i played back in 00's, and it was a great game.

I'm surprised that there aren't more mentions of those games here. From start to finish, Psychonauts reminded me very much of that series, which I'm a big fan of.

The gameplay, art style, humor, and general atmosphere was very reminiscent to me as well, and the games even share the same music composer, which I found interesting. Sly Cooper's much more stealth-based though, which might turn some people away.

I haven't played the fourth entry in the series yet, but I can confidently recommend the others to anyone that enjoyed Psychonauts. They're very fun and charming games, much like this one.
