I just got Steam working on Debian and would like a great game to test it out, but I wasn't there during the Humble Bundle. Thus, having bought the Windows version, will clicking on "install" here on my Debian laptop get me the Linux version or was it a one time only offer?
Even if it was, I'm still saving some money for The Cave, though.
its a mid 2012 13inch mbp with 16g of ram.
Does the advice under "I’m on a Mac and my save games from before June 4, 2012 disappeared. How do I get them back?" in this FAQ[www.doublefine.com] help?
Edit: Found another bug. It seems if you change resolution to a lower resolution when playing, rendering errors fill the additional space between the two resolutions in screenshots. This may be a bug in the Linux steam client, but you should look into it, and if it's on the Steam side of things, contact Valve.
-unplayable on linux mint 14
-input device configuration/key capture/mouse capture are bjorked
-can't get key capture for OS out of the game and have to hard reset the system
Ubuntu 12.04 64 Bit with Nvidia Card here (Driver Version 310.14):
Ok. Game finally runs great for me and it seems I can continue playing after putting it aside for a long time.
The only remaining problems I encounter at the moment (just finished milkman conspiracy) are:
- No shadow for Raz (and other things?). This is the most annoying as it makes jumps a bit hard to estimate, but not really gamebreaking at the moment. I at least think there should be a shadow, right?
- Pyrokinesis (don't know if this is the right word, but I mean the thing that burns stuff) has some minor graphical glitch: Effects are some kind of square tiles.
- Lake at night has also some grphical glitches in the distance
- Finally Steam Achievements don't seem to work (as other people also wrote)
Just encountered some crashs at the mailboat scene in dark mood. It crashs often when you play the scene and then get on the boat to the next scene (You could also use the light scene to get there, so no problem).
In the next scene (the one with the water and the ladder there), I had 2 crashs when this was in dark mood. But finally I was able to collect the figments and finish the scene.
So I don't know, perhaps crashs are related to switching to the dark water/ladder scene.
