Since the priority option to choose the Xbox 360 controller disappeared as soon as I disabled the HID compliant device, it almost seems that it no longer considers the 360 controller a game controller.
But, if it using a standard controller driver set, and not that of an actual xbox 360 controller, it will still say its up to date. Because the generic drivers, are up to date. Thats not what you want. Try Microsofts site, the driver setup file is free.
I guess, the only thing I can say is just make sure that its disabled and not uninstalled.. and make SURE that the xbox controller is ON (and working! go to game controller settings, then the properties tab under the xbox controller and you can test it out to make sure your pc sees it) BEFORE the game starts, or it wont work. Thats all I can help you with man, unless i was there :/
yes i did, i didnt know the consequence, how do i get it back
Now, I wanted to do what you ve written but there is no "HID-compliant game controller", there are only "HID-Keyboard" and "HID-conform Mouse" and some severel other devices.
My PC runs with win10.
I hope you can help me with that, thanks a lot.
