Profile in Profiles folder yet not in game! D:

Hello, I'd really like some help here... My save files seem to have vanished from the game- yet, they are present in the files of the game under:

Steam/SteamApps/common/Psychonauts/Profiles/Profile 1

Yet when I get into the game it does the intro, and then asks me to create a new profile... :c
