Is both good for a casual and an hardocre player. You should definitely give it a try!
so this game is extremely weird but really good in deifferent way.
going to try it.
thanks again!
But the strong parts are:
1. Suprisingly, graphics. Don't get me wrong, the textures are definitely low quality AND models are low poly, but the style makes it kinda timeless. I would prefer an HD version for sure, but what it is right now still looks good in my opinion. So maybe it's more style not graphics, but I still would call that graphics.
2. The level design. As somebody already pointed out - it gives perspective into different peoples' psyche (including some with real mental issues). And level design of those levels reflect that. There are some confusing places where I wasn't sure what to do next but I can name only 3 of those even after fresh run-through after 10 years of not playing this game. And 2 of those are in the most bizarre and interesting level of them all.
3. The story and the characters. I can't separate them enough since the story makes the characters and the characters makes the story. I can't explain more without spoiling something.
4. The music. I've listed to "Meat Circus" 10 years ago more time than any song on this soundtrack (because it's like if circus music was written by somebody would like to make you scared of circus which is kinda the point), but other songs like flamenco-inspired "Black Velvetopia" or very dynamic "Duel with the Critic" make the them interesting to listen on their own (at least for me). And even the title music invokes this sense of discovery and curiosity.
5. And the powers. I mean what other game do you have telekinesis, the ability to burn stuff, "levitation" (although I would rather consider it a fast run and high jump combo), invisibility and they are can actively be used throughout the game (not restricted to a certain section) and there not a huge amount of back-tracking with these.
Overall - solid game even after 15+ years.
I will probably post that as a review on the game. :)
Thanks a lot for your detailed and thoroughly explanation!
Appreciate it
