Resolution issues

Was working with the screen resolution on the game, changed the res and now can't get game to display no matter what settings I try to use. Is there a reset to default resolution for the game without opening it and going through the menu? Reinstalling the game doesn't work to reset it.

Yes, you can do it via Steam launch options.

For now, go to:
Steam Library > Psychonauts > Right Click > Proprieties >Launch Options


and type "-windowed".
This should launch the game windowed mode, and you can change the resolution.

what if you changed the resolution while the game was windowed? I can't change the resolution back at all from the windowed perspective.

Do the same thing as bass_wall_of_sound did, but use this launch option instead:

-w "insert width" -h "insert height"

Example:

-w 1920 -h 1080

* None of them helped me: launch options wouldn't start in windowed mode. It also messed up my open windows (and I use 2-3 monitors).
(In the game) I made my profile as quickly as possible (exiting the videos, then choosing a bed/place, giving my character a name) and then exiting and setting options, graphics, windowed mode instead of full screen, etc.
There is .ini in the installed files, it definitely needs to be set there, but after that it's not important anymore.

* Nekem semelyik sem segített: nem indult el ablakos módban / tulajdonságok: indítási opciók. El is barmolta a megnyitott ablakjaimat (és 2-3 monitort használok).
(A játékban) Minél gyorsabban megcsináltam a profilom (kilépés a videókból majd ágy/hely kiválasztása, karakter névadás) és utána kilépés és opciók beállítása, grafika, full screen helyett ablakos mód stb.
A telepített fájlokban van .ini, tuti ott kell állítani de ezután már nem lényeges.
