Cobweb duster glitch

I've had this problem forever. It makes the game unplayable. Whenever I use the cobweb duster to pick up cobwebs, as soon as I do it picks it up but then it just hovers in that same spot forever. There's nothing I can do.

1. I can't put the cobweb duster away.

2. I can't select other items

3. I can't pick up any other cobwebs.

4. Dying doesn't help.

5. Game overs don't help.

6. Exiting the mind world doesn't help.

7. Cutscenes don't help.

8. Returning to the title screen does help but I still need to suck up the cobweb all over again and the problem repeats itself.

I've never heard of anyone else having this problem before and I've never had this problem with any other version of the game. Please help me.

If it does't work, would you mind sending me a video of the glitch?

you need load an older save and then hope it work

Open Steam > Library > Psychonauts > Right Click > Proprieties > Local Files > Check Integrity of Files.

Okay it said one file failed to validate and will be reaquired.
