Icons origin?

Having now played the demo I think I am going insane, the icons for the items I feel I have seen them all in different games already are they
A: free art used from the same source
B: from a different game of the developers
C: Original and not from somewhere else and I am going insane

E.g.
The "Enhanced Tractors" upgrade item reminds me a lot of the tractor beam icon from Star Valor, same with the "Reactive Plating"
