Is it possible to kill both Ymir and Ymir's shell at the beginning of the game ?

Just asking. In order to get both Hi-Potion and Ether.. It seems not, 'cause you can't target the shell when his head is out. But well.. Just asking, in case I'm missing something.

Both show up in the bestiary marked as defeated.

Considering the shell's HP, killing it separatly before you're wiped out by the retaliation would only be possible with a hack or gameshark.

It runs out of MP quite quickly, it can summon Megavolt only 6 times. :)

EDIT : In fact, I already did defeat both on the SNES version. I was juste asking if it would be possible on the Steam version !

With some extra grinding, you could probably do so. just keep using heal beam and stuff.

Yes, I already know that but I can't seem to Multi-target both the shell and the head in this version, in the SNES version it was possible. So I suppose you can't kill both at the same time..

Yes thank you BUT I want to take out BOTH in the same time, the head AND the shell. But in the Steam Port, I can't target BOTH. So is there a way to defeat BOTH in the same time, in order to get the Hi-Potion and the Ether ???

Can't Terra attack all at once? You'll need to do some counting but if she can, you can kill both at the same time.

I tried the Bio Attack, but when the head is out, it doesn't affect the shell - there's no retaliation by the Megavolt.

It never bothered me to try tbh. Either back in the days of the SNES version or any version since. Though I know the supposed method from guides obviously.

Have you tried multi targeting a fire spell at it/them with Terra?

There are also RAM cheats that could help.

Thats how I feel. I just know that they do work as I have seen others use them is all.
