Cash Grab and made in RPG maker

Title really is it. This is just a game that looks like it was made in RPG maker, and is a direct port from the phone that wasn't enhanced at all, it seems anyways

and is just a way for Square to exploit the starving FF6 fanbase desperate for some love because FF6 to me is the best rpg ever and this is a slap in the face because this deserves a remake of some kind, not kiddy sprites smashed against backgrounds they look awkward in

Yes the graphics are that bad, some may enjoy them, but they are cheaply done and far from aesthetically pleasing to my eyes to the point I would not even be able to focus on the characters, its the same reason I didn't buy this game alreayd, you know on the iPhone, where this is a direct copy of it with slight mouse adjustments to simulate the finger pressing, I'm sure that took a bunch of effort...

The quality of a Final Fantasy VI remake should not be such a concern, because this game is far better than a half-assed remake, and make no mistake this is just them tossing in leftover turkey from thanksgiving in to the oven and once its burnt they throw ketchup and hot sauce on it, to give it some pizazze, and this is what it is, just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they don't care about to make money

This port of FF6 is the definitive proof there will not be a remake to FF6 and is pathetic by Squareenix.

So to those that enjoy the graphics, yay, I'm guessing you like the cheap ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RPG maker games too, which I guess isn't too bad considering they were probably made by a developer of one consisting of some oktaku that believes women should be like the girls in the hareem animes, but this is not quality

To those that wanted a decent port, you won't get one, and there won't ever be a remake, instead all Square will do is jizz all over Cloud posters because poorly developed emo protagonist apparantly are better than thoughtful vivacious leads that actually have depth and growth

And lastly, if you are a Final Fantasy 7 fan, congrats! your purchase of this cash grab of a port is helping fun FF7 :D

This port is technically the remake.... or in this case, really it is a remaster.

P.S - RPG Maker (not saying this game was made in it) is not a bad engine nor does it mean laziness. Really, it would be no different than downloading unity for free, then buying assets on the Unity store and making a game with those assets.

Well, it's a smartphone game ported over to PC, I don't think anyone was expecting anything amazing and groundbreaking to be done to make it new and better...

It's a SNES game remade for a platform that's probably not too far ahead of the SNES in performance...

Smartphones now are infinitely better than the SNES no comparison period...

And the point of the thread is that a triple-A company using graphics like that you'd find in an RPG maker game is pathetic, I expect quality from Square, I mean an indie title from some little developer making its first game ever, hells yeah rpg maker it up I personally don't care for them but there's a market and people love it

So I guess I'm sorry I actually expect Square to care about the quality of their products when they have the budget to do more than this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they release

It looks like rpg maker because rpg maker mimics the looks of rpg games in the snes era, which is the time FFVI first came out.The problem with this game is not that the fact that it is a port from the smartphones but that character sprites are badly made wich contrast with the backgrounds and enemies, in general, where a more decent job was made.

Yeah I read an article someone made talking about how they just did a poor shoddy job with rendering and overall quality where the flaws were just made drastically more apparant to the point they are too noticable to unsee. Which is the problem, the graphics are too bad to "just ignore and play through".

It just feels like they didn't care about refining the game and just tossed it out on here to get people to buy it with no concern from the game itself. I know companies do that just didn't expect it to come across in this game.

True but the controls of your phone dont blow out the snes controller. Touch screen always < controllers for any real game.
Also with 6 being one of my favorite games of all time I would just say the artwork while more clean does look pretty bad compared to the originals. Not something I would buy I just came here because I never knew this came out on PC.
