Does this version include the fixes the GBA version did?
I'm interested in this, but before I drop any money on it, I'm curious if they fixed the bugs that riddled the original release that the GBA version fixed. Namely, the GBA version fixed:
- The Vanish-Doom bug that wins every fight.
- The various bugs that plagued Relm's sketch ability and could cause game crashes.
- The evasion stat bug that caused the evasion stat to be tied to absolutely nothing, meaning not only did it not have any bearing on your character, it also caused the blind status to be worthless since the blind status used the evasion stat.
- The psycho-cyan glitch that could turn Cyan into an unstoppable killing machine.
- A handful of bugs involving Gau's rages
- The dialogue and translations. The GBA version has much nicer dialogue.
- The glitch that would cause Shadow to lose Interceptor FOREVER should he ever be targeted with the Rippler blue magic.

The GBA version also added two new dungeons at the end of the game.

It's not all great, though, as the GBA version also added a new glitch: if you do an attack that does the Imp status, and that creature is immune to Imp, the entire attack misses. This matters in the case of the move bad breath, which does A BUNCH of statuses. If a creature is immune to imp, the whole attack misses. So I wonder if this port included all the fixes mentioned above, and also corrected this glitch.

Anyone know?

You could google the IOS port, this is a port of that port, so any issues it had I'd say carried over.
I can tell you that the dialogue is much improved in this version, but can't comment on anything else because I haven't gotten far enough yet.
This is the GBA version with new graphics and interface.
Thus, most of the bug fixes in the GBA version are also present here.

Vanish-Doom was fixed. Sketch glitch was fixed. Evasion was fixed I think. Gau's rages are still messed up. Shadow can still lose interceptor. The one thing I don't know and cannot find anywhere on the internet is whether or not the psycho-Cyan glitch still works.

I've heard that this game actually is a wrapper of the GBA version. Within it files theres is a GBA rom used as a database and to obtain key data for cutscenes animations, menus interactions, level tiling, etc.

So I suppose yes, it should have the same fixes and errors as the GBA version.

To answer your questions:
- Vanish-Doom no longer works. You either kill them the hard way or you use Dread Gaze/Death attacks to instant kill them if they aren't Stone and/or Deathproof.
- Sketch Bug is non-existent. There are no consequences if it misses other than a wasted command.
- Physical Evasion works correctly
- I think that is fixed, but I haven't tested
- Most of Gau's Rages work correctly. He still has the Criticalproof issue, some Rages can't be buffed by Image or Vanish (my Gau Guide covers this in the Rages with Curses section) and Deathproof sometimes doesn't work right.
- All monster names and dialogue is GBA
- Rippler Bug is non-existent. I have been hit with Rippler on Shadow before and Intercepter still came to my aid throughout the game.
- Not sure about Bad Breath. Primarily because I wear Ribbons all the time and I usually waste Malboros first so the Bad Breath script (only cast as a Last Stand) never happens. If it does exist, you are ♥♥♥♥ out of luck cause about 3/4 of the monster roster is immune to Imp.
I do know that Break will fail on enemies that are Deathproof regardless of Stoneproofing, which is why you need to use Gau's Dread Gaze against non-Stoneproof and Deathproof enemies.

I did a test with rippler and tried to see if it took terra trance and shadow interceptor and it didnt.
I am not 100% sure, but it seems like the bug that makes you imune to multiple status effects in 1 attack (and also imp) while you are protected only from "imp" is still present.

Example... Bad Breath + White Cape (protects from imp) = same effect as ribbon.

The Rippler Bug is non-existent. I know because I got hit with Shadow when I was fighting Leap Frogs and then Interceptor came to my rescue 3 battles later. I also have a video where I fight Red Dragon the second time long after this fight and Interceptor helped me twice.

However, since the Physical evasion of my Shadow afterwards was over 100%, I didn't really need Interceptor's aid for the superbosses.

I can test the Bad Breath/Disaster bug when I can. I do know being Impproof doesn't save you from Diabolic Whistle, but that chooses 1 random status out of a group and applies it each cast.

This game is actually nothing more then like a handler that references the GBA rom that is buried in the source (where to put sprites, ect) So any fixes or glitches the GBA version has, this game has.

Are you sure the creature in question wasn't tagged as undead? The only creatures that should respawn after being "insta-dead'd" are those that are tagged as undead, which is intentional.
