Question about Gau's rages

I'm currently playing FF6 on PSX and I'm at the end and I followed a monster no miss walkthrough so I'm pretty sure I encountered everything.

So anyway, its still a long process but, I looked at the rage lists and in the empty slot I need next is chaos dragon, wasn't that a boss? I know the white/holy dragon appears, but I haven't read anywhere chaos dragon appears on the veltd.

I've killed all the dragons so I did fight chaos dragon, and yet he never shows up, at all. Is this just a blank slot or does chaos dragon actually appear somehow?
Would love help on this, its the only thing I got left for FF6 and I've been playing the game close to 2 decades now.

You can find the Chaos Dragon in the Phoenix Cave or at the Coliseum.
By the way, he look like a T-Rex, but he is called Dragon :)

Damnit my bad I meant doom dragon not chaos my bad I got chaos dragon.

Doom dragon I haven't seen on the veldt at all.

I suppose you meant Fiend Dragon. Fiend Dragon is a random encounter that has nothing to do with the 8 dragons. Also in Kefka's Tower he only appears in a single room, so make sure you check every single room (at the very least he's guaranteed to appear in that room).

Doom/Fiend Dragon only appears in the room after the Containment Lab for Team 1. The small L path.

Chaos Dragon in Phoenix Cave only appears in 1 confrontation involving 2 of them and Galypdes but it's one of the rarest encounters on the 1st floor.

Skull Dragon never appears in the Veldt.
