Locke can't steal in the Ancient Castle

Locke is level 56, I'm trying to Steal (manually, or with the Brigand Glove, or with the Thieves' Knife, with or without the Thieves' Bracers), and he just keeps failing. I think I might have stolen from a Figaro Lizard or so (level 45) but after dozens of tries, I'm not sure I've successfully stolen from a Devil (level 46) or Enuo (also 46) at all.

If I understand the math correctly, my chance of stealing from them should be 60% or 120% with the Thieves' Bracer. They both have common items to steal, so I'm not sure what's going on, but it's driving me crazy.

Does anyone know what is causing this?

I don't think the % stack. Are you sure the that mob has a item to steal?

enemy lvls might be to high. try using the Lore Discord(or whatever it is called in this version) and half the enemy lvl. that should make stealing much easier as long as the lore lands
