What is the best way to play this game 1st time playthrough?
I've seen the amount of problems the steam version has and im wondering if there are any mods that fixes these issues but also sticks to vanilla?

Ive seen A World Reborn and not sure which version to get of it, do i go with the nostalgia pack only which tries to stick to vanilla or should i just stick with the hybrid pack, I just want to play this game basically with 0 of the problems the steam version has

At the very least, the Serafie Reshade folder from the A World Reborn files should be used so you can toggle between pillarboxed and proper full widescreen and the annoying blur filter is fixed.

The blur filter is the single most important fix in my opinion. Also make sure to periodically save in separate slots. The game has a semi-rare save corruption bug, unfortunately.

So do you think I should just get A World Reborn?

I would not use the orchestrated music package. Stick to the Steam original or Nostalgia music.

IMHO, VI has the best musical score of them all, so experience it normally first and then get into all the covers and orchestrations and stuff.

I'd highly recommend A World Reborn if you really want to play the Steam version, but overall, I honestly think the best way for first-time players to play the game would be the SNES version patched with the Ted Woolsey Uncensored mod, if you're willing to emulate the game.

I'm basically running that Atma Weapon launcher mod tool with the classic pack and it's the closest thing that resembles the SNES version which is the real version of the game.... so I mean... I dunno, I went with that and it works for me...

The only thing I can't stand is the menu and battle U.I. but you can't always get what you want.
