Classic SNES Translation?

So people complain about the graphics and stuff with this version of FF6. But what really stands out to me as problematic is this new translation that frankly is terrible.

Is there any way to restore the Ted Woolsey translation?

As far as I know there isn't a mod that restores the PC version to be more like the Ted Woolsey translation. There's a hack that is available but iirc it's only for the GBA version and not the Steam release.

I think you will have trouble finding it because most people consider that translation to be completely wrong. I looked around for it and found several posts on how that translation deviated from the source material in several places.

I do miss some of the dialogue and item names from that version, though, but I find that I'm content with the better translation overall. I would recommend applying the Nostalgia patches from Project Atma Weapon (I kept the original music) and leaving it at that.
