How to kill Ultros?
He instant kills banon at full health everytime at some point during the battle.

Put all hands in the back row and spam Pray every turn. Banon needs at least triple digits to survive attacks.

Use Fire, Auto-Crossbow and Pummel or Aura Cannon to attack Ultros. You also have to be swift as after about 10 attacks or so, he does a Tentacle attack on Banon directly and it can spell game over. You also have to be careful with the Fire spam as Ultros counters any Fire casts with Ink.

If you want to accelerate the damage, you can pick up a Hermes Sandals in the basement of South Figaro and this gives you Auto Haste. Equip this to Edgar or Sabin to increase your damage output to slay them faster.

I just plowed through him. All hands on full DPS (except Banon, he spams pray... I think I had Terra cast cure once) and beat him on the third try.
Turns out Aura Blast is good for 400+ damage.
What's a "strategy"? :B
