Battle command changing

Hi. I play with xbox360 controller.

When in battle, sometimes a character changes the command, even if I don't select it.
For example, I use attack for all of them, then next turn, Bartz will use another command like item or another thing, instead of attacking...

Pretty annoying, as I use spells or items I don't want to, and enemies attacking me during this...

Has someone the same issue?

It's fairly rare, but yes, it happens to me too. I think it has something to do with if you hit the confirm button while the menu is still popping out. If you plan to use the same actions over and over for a while you can use the auto-battle button in short bursts until you want to change it up.

Someone also said another factor could be trying to issue a fight command for example as an enemy is dying. That's impossible to do so the game remembers what you did wrong, or some such.

I'm seriously considering pushing a topic to keep up to date on the bugs, because it's really embarrassing there hasn't been a peep from a SE representative (especially on the game's improper handling of file paths with unexpected characters and allowing itself to be affected by DPI scaling).

I hate it too.. im at point where im using an certain item to kill monsters... and when the battle starts.. the cursor is on the item selection (thank god) BUT when i go to items i need press right (at the moment atleast) to use that item. I seriously hope someone is informing thiese bugs to square enix team so they would fix it or even for starters announce that they have noticed this bug and are trying to fix it. >.<

very very annoying indeed. even more when you start grinding by auto-ing to max lvl... =\

like... bartz+lenna=rapid fire | krille = dualcast meteor | faris = dualcast bahamut

suddenly goes like this
bartz = rapidfire
lenna = item whatever
krille + faris = defense...

wtf...

cmon Square Enix... FIX THIS ASAP!
