Gil turtle Entry
Has anybody else fought the gil turtle in the sealed temple and NOT gotten the bestiary entry? for whatever reason even though it is the EXACT same enemy the sealed temple one doesn't yield a bestiary entry for me. Am already peeved i missed an easy entry early in the game but I really don't want to play all the way up to the 2nd world just to encounter one in the gil cave.

I farmed it on the second world, its really great (maybe the best) place to farm gil.

Here is a guide for easy kills and farming on low level: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy0lOROMAkA

BTW Don't you save your game???
I do saves on key places. Once I reach slot 15, I archive the 'savegame.bin' file and then start with slot 1. This way you can have unlimited saves trough the whole game. To 'load' old save just replace 'savegame.bin' with one from your achives

I do save my game. The thing is I have played FFV on the GBA like 15 times or so so i knew that i could fight him in the sealed temple, thus i always skip him since i find it rather a chore fighting him early when he can turtle me down in a matter of seconds and i have to resort to very spesific strategies (constantly casting blink in my party + golem and doing requiem over and over since his defences are ridiculous even when casting blizzaga). Also due to the fact that i job grind 2/4 ninjas to mastery in Bal basement i get a decent chunk of gil lasting me well to the end of the game (and then usually moving on to movers, but quicksave fixes means i have to breakblade 400 behemoths instead for consistent ABP gain, and then proceed to steal 70 elixirs or so off crystal dragons). It just bugs me how the sealed temple version despite being the exact enemy somehow doesn't yield an entry meaning i have to replay the game up to the 2nd world just to get it in there.

I wonder if the post-game Cloister of the Dead would work. (Gil Turtle's in the first wave, so maybe killing one there will fill his bestiary entry; do NOT quote me on it though)

Sorry I cant help you for GBA. My method of unlimited saves works for PC.

BTW blinking strategy is slow and can not be used in Auto-Fights. If you check my video my strategy is secure, easy on low level, doesn't require healing and Auto can be used (after initial buff-turn).
The funny thing was when later on I met the turtle in the GBA+ only content and tried to kill it as a regular mob ... it was looong battle with lots of healing even tough my party was 2x level from the video with almost all gear + jobs at max + freelancer/mimic party (very high stats, 5k+ HP)

I'll see if that works, gotta finish the game regardless for the other achievments.
EDIT: Just killed that sucker in the cloister of the dead, it does indeed yield an entry, so for the people who missed the Forza entry will also get one here. a shame i still have to beat the game again due to the fact i missed a couple of treasures back in W2 and tycoon castle or something, at least if i am to get the last 2 achievements (leveling up to 99 is a pain but isn't that tough against ironclads and hades.)
