Movers
Pls make quick save mover glitch work again.

It's boorrrring running round in a circle grinding ABP!

Yeh its a bit derpish, but FF is all about abusing the glitches.

I highly doubt they will fix it, had to drop the protect ring steal on odin just because return doesn't reset the timer (which is a d-bag move on SE's part and I'm not for reloading my save file 20 times just to get it, but w/e at least i can always fall back to the gba version which doesn't have certain features removed or "fixed"). This port or version has it's ups and downs, and unfortunately SE doesn't seem to want to make a middle ground where they would allow all you could do in the advance version, and just replace the sprites, artstyle and add in the diagonal movement, that would be enough for me. I can still enjoy the game, but it just feels like they purposedly made it harder to grind anything when it was a pain to grind to begin with (more spesific jobs, Exp i don't think got changed too much). What would be interesting tough (might have wanted to save this for a new FF or the Bravely default series which are the spiritual succesors) is bosses that doesn't have any inherted weaknesses and that change depending on what setup you use. If you for example were to cast reflect on yourself, the boss would next turn cast dispel to counter it, and so on and forth. But what do i know, innovation sucks when it comes to earning cash right?

I think bosses having inherent weaknesses is important for storyline bosses. For extra bosses of course, go ahead, it would make them more challenging than simply giving them mental strong attacks.

Not fought the boss yet but have you tried romeo's ballad on him? should cast stop status on him (which you shouldn't be able to inflict normally since he is in perma reflect status) and make it unable to act for 2-3 turns. (talking with experience from the advance version)

So, with this glitch out of the equation, what's the best way to grind ABP in this version?

Well I'm fairly certain enemies in the rift still gives you a decent chunk of ABP (although kinda inferior to the 199 from movers not to mention the amount of gil), so mega flare them to death then? (since certain enemies arbsorbs certain elements and although costly it does deal decent damage to all the enemies)

You simply dont ask for glitchs/bugs to be "reimplemented"...
Best place to grind abp and credits is Sealed Temple (after you beat Exdeath)
If you didnt beat Exdeath, you should get close to 99 Cottages, the most elixirs you can and hi potions to grind in the rift. Also bring some Ethers. Get Rapid Fire ability asap and all should be fairly easy.
Once you get Necromancer job its easy because Deep Freeze literally freezes enemies, just remember to equip Hermes shoes.

I think quicksave was intended to reset the enemy encounter for the most part, SE just removed it (still resets amount of steps needed to encounter an enemy tough), and tbh grinding in any FF game is already a pain so why make it worse? The only thing you do by "fixing" these tricks are making grinding even more tedious as it takes up even more time just to get done with leveling up and such (it already took like two - four hours or so to finish every job with this trick, without it possibly double). If SE were to ramp up the enemies around florem area in Bravely Default by 20 JUST to make leveling a more pain (when you are about lv 75 just equip the 4SP ability that instantly kills enemies and equip alarm earring) i would be kinda annoyed considering it is the easiest way to level up without wasting resources (like compounding phlostigons which i would have to keep track on). It's not necessarily about it being a cheap trick to make things easier it's about finding ways to make grinding as less tedious as possible.

Some grinding is fun/necessary evil. I like having it being *somewhat* inhibitive to just get way OP during the main game without at least really working for it. But by the end, yeah, they probably should open up a little more to where you can max out the remaining jobs to have the combinations to play around with and transition the game into being a mastery of the mechanics, and less so about time invested.

I don't know, kicking up the Mover encounter rate to like a 25% in that one Rift area or something would have been nice.

Also, thanks for the suggestions! I'm in the Rift right now and trying to max out a few more jobs, may get a couple more knocked out, then fight Exdeath and see about the sealed temple. Anything more I should know about it (a specific spot there?) or pretty self explanitory?

Glitchs are an important part of RPGs though, look at Vanish in 6, item duping in 7, manipulating chests in 12-Zodiac Job System (which if you havent played please do, it is such an incredible improvement on 12).

Super important!

Glitches are not super important. I find FFVI a lot more challenging now that I can't just Vanish/Doom everything. Remember grinding the Intangir and getting all of your spells in no time before the floating continent? It's a thing of the past, and I think the game is better for it.

I grinded (ground?) out all jobs in FFV yesterday afternoon in the rift while watching Netflix on a second monitor. I got about 6 movers the whole time.

All you need are characters with summon. Equip them with Hermes Sandals and Gold Hairpins. If there's a Necromancer, use Leviathan, then Bahamut; if not, two Bahamuts will do. If you get the Chimera/Behemoth group, use Odin. If Odin tosses a spear at the Behemoth, just die and reload the quick-save. The game quick-saves after every fight. Dying is nothing but a minor inconvenience. I went through 20 cottages.

If you want it to go a little faster, equip the other two characters with ABP Up from the Oracle (or is it Cannoneer?) class.

Is it monotonous? Yeah. Does it take a while? Yeah. But you really really don't need to concentrate on it at all.

Syldra with Air Knife, Magus Rod or Rune Bell equipped is almost as powerful as Bahamut (247 base power vs 255) while costing half as much MP. There are no equips that boost Leviathan and Bahamut that way.

Glitches are okay for funsies, but by no means a vital part of the game. I'm glad they're fixed.

Only downside is that some enemies absorbs wind elemental damage, like the crystal enemies in the rift (they can only be damaged by non-elemental attacks)

That's the thing tough, most enemies doesn't give you that high ABP rewards throughout most of the game, only when you hit the 3rd world (Vilia's in the bottom left corner) and when you go to the "final" dungeon (sealed temple is technically a bonus dungeon so yeah) do enemies start to be more nice with ABP yields, which is why i don't get why SE would fix the quicksave "glitch" and not do anything about the encounter rate for movers. By the time you can battle them, you have either 2-3 mainstory bosses left or just the final boss himself.
