Any fix for game text getting cut off?

To elaberate, any text characters that go below the line (examples: g,y,j,p) are getting cut off, like the game does not leave enough room between lines.

Is there any way to fix that, or is that just how it is? It's driving me up the wall.

I haven't actually experienced it myself. Have you checked the game options to see if there is a way to change the writing or something? It also could be an issue with the device that you're using, for example if it's a small device like a notebook that you can use to play games, then you could have the issue of the screen being smaller/the wrong shape and not suited to what the game is made for. If this is the problem, then I would suggest playing it on a pc/laptop if it's available to you, however, if it isn't then you might have to see if there is a way to change the screen resolution for the game.

I was on a laptop with a GTX 970M. I was running it in 720p windowed, so I could have another window open to the side at the same time. I didn't try turning it up to 1080p full screen, that may have fixed it.

I saw too many other problems though in my short time with the game that I ended up refunding it. Perhaps if they patch it I'll buy again, or greatly reduce the price. I already own it for the PS1, I was just hoping for a version without such terrible load times on the menu.

I also learned today that SE is porting FF IX, my favorite in the series, to PC ..... and mobile :/ Hopefully they do a good job of it, and not a V/VI job of it.
