go to the Final Fantasy V folder and rename "opengl.dll" to "opengl.dll.bak".
Might be different than yours, but my file was named "opengl32.dll", and changed it to "opengl32.dll.bak".
Hope that helps some of you!
Thanks, this saved me too.
Steam stopped making Steam Controllers, period. They've been discontinued. But yeah, xinput is more trouble than it's worth, and Microsoft are crazy to still be expecting it to catch on.
The the only controllers worth using have a selector switch on the back anyway.
I can second this thanks ^^
If all else fails, map to the keyboard. Either with the native Steam big picture controller menu or something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgX-pDXlF5Q

I've been using an F710 for years. It works great for pretty much everything, although Windows 10 driver support is spotty.
This 10000% worked for me and got my steam overlay to work as well.
