Does PC version of FF5 have world and level map?
Just coming into FF5 from having completed 3 and 4. FF4 had a nice feature where if you pressed right shoulder button on gamepad it brought up the entire known world map, or a transparent level map if you were in a dungeon. I think that FF3 for PC also had a world map you could see by pressing select key on gamepad (if i remember correctly).

I believe the original games probably didn't have that feature, and FF5 for PC probably doesn't either. Or does it? If someone could let me know it would be appreciated.

I don't remember if FFV has a world map, but some of the older ones did. As for the dungeon maps though, no I do not think so. FFIII and FFIV were full remakes.

Nope. That would make places like the Ronka Ruins and Forest areas too easy.

There's just overworld maps.

Thanks for replies, just found the world map (it's an in game item) that can be accessed by pressing X once you have it. But there is also a transparent mini map on the top left now that wasn't there at first. At first I didn't notice it, despite already owning the world map. So I think it may be possible to toggle it on and off but non of the gamepad buttons seem to affect it. There might be a keyboard key for it.

The mini-map overlay in the top-left is just for the world map. You're on your own for dungeons.

I know in the case of FF4, the 3D version has it because it rewards you for map completion.
