Brave Blade attack power cap?

I've been reading about the Brave Blade,it has an starting attack power of 150,but can it get any higher as the weapon supposedly gets stronger the more battles you win?.

No you got that information wrong.

Brave blade starts out as 150 attack power, however if you run from battle the power is permantently reduced.

I see,thanks for the info,I assumed the weapons attack power varied depending on how many battles you won/fled.

Chicken knife does get stronger as you flee battles. Don't remember what the attack power cap was.

Chicken Knife when fully powered has 127 attack power, Since it's a dagger though the damage formula also takes your agility into account (brave blade or any other sword doesn't) which makes it the more powerful option if you take your time powering it.

I'll take the knife on my next playthrough,I never took the Chicken Knife even when I first played the PS1 port. Thought it was a junk weapon to be honest.
