It's shutting down

Oh, thank god. I just saw the announcement about closing down in North America. A game that no longer cares about a certain region should have died long ago. I can only hope it dies in Europe and Asia soon but that's always been where most their players are at.

Hi, I'm gaderic. I played this game through all three name changes. I played for about five years but quit two years ago. It was a great free version of cs source back in the day but they never tried to improve. I couldn't believe this got greenlit by 51% a few years ago. It's finally time.

Let this be a lesson to other game developers out there if you see this game's history. Care about your players.

Lel they took that from their other countries. They probably had that many sign up in europe and indonesia. It's always been dead in the us.

you can still paly in garena. which is south east asian game launcher and they don't have ping limits or region lock. philippines server is in english and they have so many players. the happy thing is that many of them have bad pings too. it is good to play the game.

Yeah, feels bad that this game is gonna get shutted down too, had great times with it and meet a lot of friends, it hurts me from inside knowing that this game is gonna get shutdown too like the other one that already got, like ghost in the shell, artic combat and more and more.... the good ol ' times bruh, im never gonna forget them!!! I know that this game in the last 2 years has become COMPETE ♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ FEST but you should never watch a game from the present but always see it from the time you enjoyed it most ( talking about 2011 when it was called point-blank and it was a regional continental based game for each country) i just wanted them to get back on track and fix the ♥♥♥♥ of a game has become this piercing blow fukkfest but now i know for sure it will never be happen. Feelsbadman hope these retarded devs learn the lessons and will look at the data analistics trough the years.

I can relate to what you said a little. This game was great with friends years ago before they stopped caring. Still, i would have sacrificed this game to save the gits game in a heart beat. At least they had integrity unlike the new publisher.

I strongly believe that you're not using "it's too old" argument here, because that's simply unapplicable to gameplay (at all), which was the best of arcade FPSes for years (and simple graphics without all this bloom and HDR fits it ideally). But I agree, game is obviously P2W with these 100%+ parameters and needs a new approach in real modern F2P. And with BattlEye, of course.

I wouldn't say it's the best arcade fps games out there nor was it during it's life. You could say it was one of the better free ones out there at the time but in the end this game was a f2p clone of css.

As much as I understand your nostalgia, I by no means think that it doesn't deserve to be shut down. The old owners were bad enough and the current ones are probably worse. This is for the better.

I am a professional player from Asia and I moved in with my family in Norway and I played this game. In this game European servers more than 70% is italians. If you are Pro and without friends who can protect from kicking out of the room by the Italians.

I mean, if you are proplayer
Italians will find an excuse to get you kicked out of the room. That means you don't have a play room.

I lost my money for this 300 dollar game and the poor Italians have no good things to use in the game that I have. If you lose, they won't say anything but if they lose them Will tell you that there are better things Which came with That you will be kicked out of the room

Your English isn't bad but dude this post is from last year. The only thing I want to say is that you should get good at another game. The European pro scene is extremely limited with funding and potential. You would be better off trying something like csgo or siege instead.

Have you tried ESEA or FACEIT? They should be available in your country. ESEA league is one of the better ways to get into amateur pro series and noticed.

i had fun memories on this sh*tty game it will be always in my heart.
