Oasis Drivers: Headset Not Detected by SteamVR After 17/10/2025 Update

Hello, I've been using the Oasis drivers since launch day. Everything has worked smoothly from the very first try — no exceptions, no errors, nothing.

However, since yesterday (October 17, 2025), SteamVR says "Headset Not Detected", even though it was running perfectly the day before. I noticed that Windows received an update on the same day, but I’m not sure if that could be the cause.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Trying to unlock the headset again doesn’t work — it says "Did not find a Windows Mixed Reality headset". Rebooting, disconnecting, and plugging it in/out doesn’t help either.

The strange thing is, when I connect the USB-C cable, I can still hear the beep sound, so something is being detected.

I have not tested myself, but one of my beta testers just tried 6899 update without issues.

Can you run SteamVR (which will fail), but then make a SteamVR Report? The SteamVR report has a tree of USB devices that I can look at.

I now have 2 testers who have confirmed having no issues on 6899, one is on Nvidia and one is on AMD.

Thank you very much! I’ll review it and try to find the issue. I tried generating the report after disconnecting the USB-C cable of the HP Reverb G2 from the motherboard, and the Port 7 and Port 17 dissapear, so I think something is detecting...

Interesting observation. Let me check exactly how things appear for me with a G2.

Luckily, all I had to do was unplug and reconnect all the ports on the Reverb G2, and it started working again.

I am also experiencing now the Steam VR "unexpected problem 422" and previous to the Windows Update everything was working perfectly for me too.
