Oasis Driver for Windows Mixed Reality

Oasis Driver for Windows Mixed Reality

hp reverb g2 not recognized
So I have been trying for a few days working on how to get my headset to work again. Every time I have tried to unlock my headset it, It says it can't be located and I have tried every port on the USB, different inputs and the pack has power as in it lights up but headset doesn't light up. I went into the settings where when I plug the USB in it reads as "ITE device(8910)." I'm just not sure if I am missing something.

So yes I have looked for the mixed reality headset in the device manager and it is not anywhere in there. So I assume it's the windows? If so where would I look for that?
Check your inline power box and make sure the light is on. If it's not, press the button to turn it on and see if it finds it

I have seen it light off and on when I disconnected something and reconnected so unless you mean by something else that i'm not understanding then I have already tried doing this.
I’m in a pretty much same situation. Reverb G2 which worked just fine with previous Windows version with WMR. Now after Win update 24H2 I’ve been trying to get the Oasis to unlock the headset but with no luck so far. All I get is the “I can’t find the HDMI/DisplayPort connection…” err message. The headset shows up in Device Manager under “Other devices” as “HoloLens Sensors” and it shows a question mark since there are no drivers installed. I’ve tested all USB ports, fiddled with the cables, removed all OpenXR related sw that I can find etc… Also installed latest drivers to motherboard and latest Studio driver to the graphics card.

What am I missing here? Here’s the prompt output from the Oasis:

Looking for a Windows Mixed Reality headset ..." then says "Did not find a windows Mixed Reality headset. Please (re)connect the headset and press Retry." I'm will to work with someone on this because I have no idea as to why it's not working.
Press the power button on the box of your headset's cable.
Yes, there is a power button.

There is supposed to be a white light next to the power input for the cable.
If it is not white, the cable is turned off. Turn it on.

Already did this. It has always lit up white every time I have disconnected and reconnected. still no light on the headset or a screen.
try to use an usb-c to usb-a adapter
I have the same issue. no power to the headset after the unlock. however if i got to unlock it again the headset light flickers back on then turn off again when it says the unlock was complete. not sure what else i can try. a fix would be great.

I believe I only have USB3 port and always used it with the USB-A adapter. One day it did stop working leading to the problem at hand I had gotten a different USB-A adapter thinking that would work but of course it didn't. I haven't heard of USB3 afaik. Can you explain a little more on that?

afaik= As far as I know. You may want to go through Device Manager and make sure all Power Management settings on all of your USB hubs is off.

Device Manager->Universal Serial Bus Controllers-> go through each device, Properties->Power Management->Turn off Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power Keep in mind, this damn setting has a tendency to turn itself back on periodically.
so ive had abit of a breakthrough. all i did was open steam vr went to settings and made sure the oasis add-on was registering properly, turn it on restarted steam vr and it actually launches now. hope this could help some people
