Bots would be great, though. Great to practice before going online or just to play solo and not have to deal with lag (or mutliplayer dying). I hope they add them. Everyone who wants them should post that they want them.
The playerbase of a multiplayer-only game will drop eventually and not have critical mass to even start a game. And then the game becomes unplayable and useless.
Consider the greats: Quake, Unreal Tournament, Counter-Strike: all have bots.
EDIT: my bad, I didn't realize this had a campaign. So adding bots to multiplayer would be a great add, but I guess is not essential.
Sorry, I know this is off topic, but any devs get a chance to take a look at the issues I was having with Custom control binding issues? Hoping that can get fixed so I can enjoy the campaign. I love the sci-fi setting.
(IE: Firefight was a game mode where you kill increasingly difficult waves of enemies until either A: You were eliminated, or B: you successfully complete it.)
Same; I'm only here for SP, but would be open to MP if it's got a co-op PVE mode. Even if firefight mode (with more maps) were sold as a DLC, I would buy it (for about $5).
(Firefight would be easier than MP AI bots, right? just borrow the AI from the campaign and plop it into the MP maps following some round/wave ruleset.)
