Bee's

So I've been wondering how one gets bees. I joined a server and after a few days of carpentry and logging I decided to go for Beekeeping to make waxed furniture. A person on my server was kind enough to lend me some starting stuff, like 5 bees, 5 Vacant Swarms and a glass bottle. I already had an extractor and 5 Beeboxes but now I have no idea how to get more bees.

I know you can find wild swarms but i've looked everywhere for more than an hour maybe and didnt spot any.

If anyone can explain how to get more bees that would be awesome

Yeah, with the Beekeeping Specialization. A carpenter can make Beeboxes and a Glassblower can make Glass Jars to harvest honey. And apparently to answer my own question you can get by finding wild beehives throughout the world which you then put into the Beeboxes.

But in my server the one who gave me the free bee stuff is also they guy who took all the bee's throughout the world hence the reason why I cant seem to find any...

If you decide to go for beekeeping try get as much bees as you can as soon as you can.

The wax is needed by carpenters and purified honey can be used by cooks. Thankfully I can make my own wax for furniture, but I soon wont be able to keep up as the other guy is also a Carpenter as well as Beekeeper...

afaik Beekeeping is a mod, so you are only gonna find it on modded servers.
