is there AI in the game ?

I play single player and/or private coop. i see that you can have elections and that you can have stores and what-not , but does AI join in in late game or am i just like minecraft in where i play alllll alone in a town i create ?

Sorry , the reason i don't play online is that i just plain don't like people and i that i cannot trust them in knowing that they won't troll my game-world.
Anyway , i'm off-topic. Is an AI people a thing yet ?

There is no AI in the game and I've seen a dev say they do not plan to add it due to how the game works.

well thats a really stupid on their part. they're forcing a 'Multiplayer' on the single player user.
i guess there is a few things in the game that'll never get to see then.

I couldn't find the actual post about it via the search function that had what I was looking for.

Anyways this game is essentially meant to be easily modable, keep that in mind. I wouldn't be surprised if someone was making an NPC mod of some kind. But in general they made this game as a multiplayer game, singleplayer was an after-thought and was really only feasable a few updates ago(even though the game did just release like a couple weeks ago for Steam).
