New Carts in 9.4 cannot move
For some reason when I have dirt ramps that meet flat land which is dirt at the top of the ramp, the cart gets stuck and will not move. The graphics make it look like it would not be smooth moving at the top since the dirt graphic doesn't meet the ramp.

So I've removed the dirt at the top and replaced it with hewn logs that connect smoothly with the ramp. I have to pick up the cart several times before it pops out from under the hewn logs. It did not do this before patch 9.4. I'm guessing the new cart changes have some collision issues.

I have not tested this with stone ramps or any other ramp as of yet.

We're investigating this. The new cart physics make unconnected blocks being an issue for carts. It should currently work fine in three cirumstances:

a) You have enough speed
b) Your cart has weighty items in them
c) You stamp the ground in front of the ramp (as intended)

It is possible this is working as intended, given we want to incentivize doing c), but it will depend on how much feedback we get for this behaviour.

I can't reproduce the issue with hewn logs though, so could you give a bit more detail on the issue you have with hewn logs?

This has happened with both the small cart and the normal wood cart.

First I climb the dirt ramp with my cart. The ramp is connected with dirt at the level needed to walk on leveled ground.
As soon as the cart (I'm assuming the wheels) hit the top of the ramp, you'll notice a small graphical gap between the top of the ramp and the dirt its connected to. At this point I'm stuck and cannot move.

The next step I took was to stop operating the cart. The arms of the cart would fall. They hang over the top of the ramp. I decide to remove the dirt connected to the ramp and place two square hewn logs to make leveled ground. With the logs there is no gap between the top of the ramp and the logs.

However as soon as I place down hewn logs, its like the arms of the cart get pinched inbetween the placement of the hewn logs. But this may have been the wheel part of the cart. I'm not sure where the hitbox is exactly. I pick up the arms a few times and the cart is able to pop out of its stuck spot.
I have not recreated this with stamping the dirt and turning it into a dirt road yet. Just seems to happen when placing hewn logs with the hammer tool. The building shape is the default square at the top left most part of the list.

The gap you speak of has always been there. The carts always fell into it if you didn't have enough speed.

You have to stamp the dirt with a road tool (made by engineer at tool bench) at the top of the ramp. Yes stamping the dirt only stays if it's anywhere but in the desert. For whatever reason, stamped dirt road in the desert always reverted back to Desert Sand. This meant the only way to get a good road in the Desert biome was to use Stone Roads or Asphalt.

When placing solid blocks along a dirt edge, the dirt tile becomes a full block again. But when it's any angled block type (ramp, angled roof) it's the same issue as making a angled roof and the tile is deemed incomplete thus not allowing the tile to become full on the high end of the ramp (or the side of the ramp). Even tho the "block" space is taken up, the block isn't considered "complete" if it has any altered shape that isn't a full cube. This same thing can be seen with the wall form, the pedestal/pillar and other shaped forms.
