Damaged soil? no more grass?
Hi, why the soil is like that? (I mean without grass)
Probably because is an area where I always walk? Is there any way to let grass start growing again?

:)

Heres whats likely happening, you have probably cut some trees down , and the branches went everywhere. If you do not clean up the branches they cause erosion, and that happens. I do no get the mechanic other than its a good way to get people to clean up their junk. ( a lot of servers tend ti make a law and pay for people to clean it up) So just take ur axe and get rid of thos nasty branches and give it a few hours and BOOM all green again. So just clean up :)

I think this can also happen if you dispose of tailings from refining in the wrong way ( tossing them into a rocked in basin or something is the way to go ,, i Think)

Oh thanks, I know that, in fact I chopped a tree there, but the "problem" is that it happened like 10hrs ago ehehe, this area is where " I live" so I always walk there and I noticed that grass do not grow... maybe the game simulates that if you walk a lot in the same area the grass die?

Maybe , i have had this happen ,, and then looked around and found a couple branches up the hill i missed or behind some bush. They just added a nutrient mechanic so it may have something to do with that as well.

Okay thanks, I will check, maybe i forgot some branchers somewhere! Btw the game is nice, I hope they will add a lot of stuff, the game has a massive potential to be an awesome game!
Now if you want to enjoy 100% the game you have to open a server and let it run also when you are not playing... btw they are working to balance the "single player" experience ^^

random guess, your plantlife is sucking the lastbit of water out of the Mountain - have you ckecked the moisture level of that areal spot (if it has changing features , just started my self a few days ago) ?

I can't check it, I don't have the tech. to do it, I'm new into the game, the world has 2 days.

ok,ok, all green. But what about "grass" grass? U know, cool and farmable one?

I have unpleasant bald patches, green, but they do not grow tall grass back. Any way to grown it natural way?

Also, if you're smelting already, make sure you bury tailings well underground (at least 10 layers) or they will cause ground pollution and prevent plant growth. You can check air pollution and ground pollution from the map layers.

This is likely trampling. Grass and other plants turn into dirt if you walk on them a lot. You'll either have to stop walking on the area or make roads to traverse instead of walking on the plants.
