Unable to create a world or connect to the Strange Loop Servers.

I just reinstalled the game to play with a friend and once I got in, I had to create a new Avatar. Then when I was done, it said it couldn't connect to the SL servers, and would only play in Offline Mode. Since my friend is asleep and I just wanted to try some things first, this wasn't really a problem at the moment, but I also tried to host a world and it won't let me do that and the New Game is grayed out due to it being "offline". I'm most certainly online, including on Steam, so I'm really not sure what could be keeping it from connecting. Any insight would be most appreciated.

Not yet. It decided to connect yesterday when I tried, and it STARTED to try and build a new world/server, but ended up having a fatal error in the first 10 seconds of doing so. I sent in a ticket to support with a picture of the error, so we'll see what they have to say. I'll update you if I get it working.

I figured it out once I was shown how to see the logs. It showed that the game had also reinstalled a Big Shovel mod I had used when I played last, that I had completely forgotten about. So once I removed that file, it worked just fine.

If you want to see your server logs, if you have a similar issue, you go to your game folder within Steam -- Eco > Eco_Data > Server > Logs. Look at the last one and see if it tells you what your error is. The Mods folder is also in that same Server folder, if you want to check that as well.

I figured it out. You're just living in a "wrong" country. Try to use VPN. It works for me.
