Connection lost / failed

Literally nothing changed between me playing my current save, closing the game and me trying to start the very same save again later today. But now I can't connect to any of the saves anymore or access a server. Starting a new game works but only until I try loading it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I let Steam search for broken files, I deleted the app folders mentioned in various threads and had the game automatically fix them - nothing. All I could do at this point is start a new game and never shut down the computer.

I would post you the bug report but it doesn't show any bugs at all. The game tells me it's fine - but can't connect to anything.

But I feel like the other bug reports at this board might be related. It's not the exact same problem though. I can still create that new game which then triggers the tutorial to start anew and so on.

I have exactly the same problem. Even a new installation has brought no success. Have even restarted the router. But nothing has changed.

Was this one of those threads? I ended up making a bug report for my personal issue and linked it in that thread, though nothing's come of it yet. I'm beginning to wonder if it's an issue with older modems or routers (both of mine are at least 10 years old and definitely out of date).

Yep. But I can asure you, it's not the router, mine is about 4 months old and the product itself was published early 2017.

My router is only 1.5 years old. it will probably be there. In addition, the money for a new router is not comparable to the fun of the game.
Since I only have the problem with Eco and no other game.

But for my part the game worked fine for a few days and a total of 40 hours. Why would the router suddenly block out saves and connections?

I should elaborate on my part that I've also been unable to load certain, seemingly more modern & taxing websites as well, so it's possible my issue is separate (or multiple issues). What about your modems though?

My problem is with this game, otherwise I have no other problems.

I have also considered countless possibilities: Among other things reinstalled the game, set the router back to factory settings, firewall and antivirus set differently or completely made. But it is definitely not on the PC.

Right, I went through all of those as well with no change. Things have been running smoother since I did some port fowarding (2999 UDP, 3000 & 3001 TCP) but I haven't been able to connect to a server at any point.

It might be not us but the game. However I didn't get an update before this happened. It's all weird and pretty frustrating. I mean, yes I went for 700 hours of singleplayer gaming in the first place but 40 hours of gameplay lost kind of bothers me anyway.

Yes, that is right:

40 hours of gameplay is not much, but I did that in 3 days, because the game just got me so tied up.

But I have finally solved the problem !!!! It was not on the PC or on the router but on a file.

You just have to delete them. Here is the file path

My Computer // C: // User // Your User // AppData // LocalLow

There you have to delete the Strange Loop Games folder.

Then start the game a few times and it worked for me: D

Didn't work for me, but I've seen this mentioned a few times before on the GitHub, so it's probably a solution to something.

Same unfortunately. Tried that. It did something though. After doing that I was able to start a new game which hadn't worked before. But still haven't dared using my new game, just in case it's gone again in a few days.
