Twitch drops won't connect to steam

So I claimed the 6 Twitch drops for the captain set but I can't make it connect so I can use them.
I've linked my Eco account with both my steam and twitch account but I still don't have the flip flops, it asks me to connect on twitch and when I press connect it just links me to the Eco page explaining twitch drops, when I press the "link twitch account" button on that page I get sent to my account details which already says my accounts are all linked, removing my twitch account and linking it again has done nothing for me the 12+ times I've tried it, and I can't unlink my steam at all as there's no button.
If there is a fix then I can't find it, all the potential fixes I've found don't do anything.

This is a known issue at twitch, we were told it will fix itself after a while, so waiting is currently the only option when affected.

same, got all drops the first day ,everything is linked but never got anything

You can find the drops if connection worked correctly in the void storage on every server you join, it's the strange loop icon in the bottom right corner, to the left of the map area. If your twitch still shows "Connect" that is an issue at their side, we were told it will resolve itself.

Steam linking on our side should also now be working correctly in all cases, for anyone that had problems with that before today.

It's not fixed for me still, went in and re-connected my accounts to see if that was the problem but still no flip flops

I'll give an update when I get them, might be region based problems, or I'm just unlucky, who knows

In cases where you see a successful link on play.eco and only Twitch still shows "Connect", the only thing I can do is recommending you to contact Twitch support, our information is still "Wait".

Okay so I've gotten the drops and I've got no idea when I received them.
While in-game there's a swirly thing to the left of the mini-map and it contained the drops, on the Twitch website it still says I need to connect.
To be honest I thought I would find the drops on the main menu or in the avatar editor, finding them in a weird in-game void storage was not what I expected, but I have me some flip flops so I'm happy
