HTTP 500 on trying to link steam account

It's bad enough that we have to login to your service in order to start a server, but having such an unstable infrastructure for this is very frustrating.

When I try to link my steam account to my Eco account, I receive a 500 after I authorize the sign-in in steam: "cloud.strangeloopgames.com is currently unable to handle this request." And the accounts remain unlinked.

So please tell me how can I start my server so we can enjoy all 5 copies of the game we've bought?
I have registered an account, I have update the docker image to provide username / password, but when I try to start the server I get "Can't register server: User shuzirra does not own eco", And when I try to link my account to my steam account I face the aforementioned 500.

Why wasn't this rollout a gradual one? You could've started a volunteer opt-in period, with some incentives for those who opt in, and then you had your live data, without impacting anyone negatively.

Also you could just accept any password / username pair until you fix these issues. This could be a fix on the server side as quick temporary fix.

Happen to me too and my server is dead now nothing work on it anymore it will turn into a vanilla one and since i am not able to start the server because the SLG token i have dont work (they said i dont own eco..) well i cant try or fix the mods or do test...
I just reported the game to steam at this point, because buyer from SLG website have abilities over the steam game owners now...

Bump. This is critical. I can't link my steam account and, further more, can't even buy your game on the website as a temporary option. All our servers are down.

Steps to reproduce for the Steam Link:
1. Go to Eco Account page: https://play.eco/account
2. Click the Link Steam button in the Steam Link section
3. Login to Steam
4. Error: 500 Internal Server Error

Steps to reproduce for the game purchase:
1. Go to Eco Account page: https://play.eco/account
2. Click 'Buy Eco Directly'
3. Select the amount and click 'Purchase'
4. None of the payment methods let me enter input and hang on the loading skeleton.
5. All same error: A valid User ID is required to complete this transaction. Please make sure you input your details correctly and try again. Otherwise, contact our customer support for further assistance at help.xsolla.com. Error 2207

Same - you can't possibly to expect to grow your game when the barrier to entry is so high, and complicated. I think the direction you are taking the game will kill it before its released.

I can't play solo, i have this message:
"[14:44:10.920] [11] [Error] [Eco] Failed to start the server. Exception was Exception: StrangeApiException`1
Message:Internal Server Error

Status: 500"
and many others lines like this.

I create my account in play.eco and Idon't recieve the confirmation mail and the link to recice an other mail don't work. So, I can't link my server Nitrado to my account and I can't play with my friends online. My server Nitrado don't work and stay offline when i look at the your world section.

How can i slove my problems ?

I too am having this same issue trying to launch my dedicated server. I made a SLG account and have attempted to link it to my existing Steam account and get the 500 error. Is there a way to get back to the server login screen so I can skip the login authentication to get my server back up? I did see a button on the login to do so.

PSA for those that get error 500 when trying to link with Steam:

We found the issue, as a workaround instead of logging into your created account just click on "Log in with Steam" when opening play.eco. It will then ask you to create an account that should work.

If you don't want to do that we'll have a solution for the existing accounts on monday.
