Is the new computer a new character?

I don't know for sure if this works as I have never tried to copy my old character, I just create a new one, but, in the "AppData\locallow\Strange Loop Games\Eco" is a file called "Player.eco" perhaps you can copy this from your old computer to the new one to restore your old character, or perhaps the whole folder.

Ah. I find it unlikely you can restore your old profile then, I have never seen a way on any of the other games I own to keep my old profiles without coping them from my hold drive, but maybe someone else will know something I don't.

The character creator just stores a local template of your character's appearance. It doesn't actually store anything regarding your gameplay. If you log into a public server that you've been playing on, all of your progress will still be there, despite having to remake your character's appearance in the character creator.

Your actual character is Steam / SLG ID bound, just the appearance template is saved locally in the registry, so on a new PC you will be asked to create a new look. The look does not apply to any servers you are already playing on, only on worlds you first joing with the new one.
