Getting Outdoor Housing Points
Related to my post several days ago, thought I'd start a new one....

So it seems that it is difficult to get outdoor housing points, and have a realistic build.

You often have industrial certain machines outdoors: workbench, toolbench, campfire, maybe a small shipyard, etc.

And then if you put an outdoor item outdoors, it conflicts with the industrial items and you don't get any points, right?

A couple ways around this which have been mentioned are: have a separate deed: I assume that means a separate piece of real estate with at least one block between - then you sort of could have a garden with your outdoor items in it. Kind of cool - wouldn't you need a separate claim stake (I only have one).

A big "room" with your industrial items in it which are normally kept outdoors, I guess that could work, kind of like a large barn or industrial building which could be made of low tier materials.

Thanks for your help.

Later: I moved my shipyard into a building. The workbench and other "beginner" tables could stay outside. And I could start getting points for outdoor furnishings...

The outdoor housing bonus is purposefully more difficult (and often later) to get, it's bonus is additional to all bonuses already in the game - it is intended for players that put emphasis on separating their industrial and residential operations, e.g. use separated deeds for these endeavours, beautifying their home area.
Hi Dennis, thanks. I've been playing the game off and on for several years, and you have always been kind and helpful. Thumbs up!
