the game is known to have memory leak, so over time it eats more and more ram, to fix it, you should restart the game from time to time.

some mods also add more of this problem to the game.

this is incorrect. The game runs much smoother than it did a while ago.

Nope... Not smoother, still the same, has not changed. First came out it played well, then as time went on this started to happen. Still does... A few updates back it stopped and all was fine. But.... As soon as the next update version came out, it was back. Grrrrr.... What the ****, ya had it fixed. What'd they do to bring it back??? -Sorry- venting a bit here. When I try to get help from them it's the same 'ol, same 'ol again and again. I guess we have to buy brand new 'up-to-date' PC's from NEXT year today. Kinda a catch 22 there huh? Nope... My gaming system meets the specs and I still run\drive down a road and have to stop and waaaiiiittt for the landscape to catch up. Even turning down all the vid stuff does not help and I'm NOT just gonna walk everywhere. Hmmm.... Started when this game came out in pre-beta sale but I've not played in over 6 months. So many other games out there. (And no PROBLEM like this happens. Even on fast paced games.) Only happens in Eco. Maybe I'll try again in a year to see if they've fixed. (Not gonna hold my breath though).

I don't have any of these problems, maybe it's something specific to certain setups?

It's a common problem with games built on the Unity Game Engine ... Anyone who denies this, has not played any other Unity based games.

This is an incredibly silly remark. There are tons of games made with Unity and people have played those games.

Nothing in your reply refutes my statement ..

I did NOT say "not many people play Unity games" ... I said Memory Leaks are a common problem with Unity games, and anyone who denies this, does not have experience with Unity based games.

Yes, there are TONS of games made with Unity, and they are all "technically", BAD, and yes, sadly, many people have been suckered in to spending money on those games. Many without knowing the game was Unity based until after purchase, because the Developer did not disclose the game was Unity based on the Store page.

Edit:, Oh, you're "that guy" .. Fan-boi someplace else, I don't even play ECO anymore, because the game is just that bad .. but my comments were about the UNITY game engine anyway, and you clearly have nothing to offer, besides your biased opinion of ECO, which is irrelevant to MY comment about the Unity game engine.

I constantly encounter a performance error. When opening a Large Map - the game loses FPS to almost 7-11!!! In any case, after every 30-60 minutes of play, ECO specifically starts to slow down terribly. - No methods, settings, tricks, etc. fix the problems. Hope for a future update? “I doubt it.”

But the game in this case does not load the processor more than 20%, does not overload the HDD, even the memory does not go more than 8-9 GB (or does the system not allow it?). However, the GPU is loaded from 70 to 90+%. Which begins to tell me that the game has a miner built in!

It is virtually impossible to play. All combinations of settings, including in the Nvidia panel, using adequate drivers, BIOS updates, network, generally checking everything and everyone. Seems. They are not helping.

The game stubbornly refuses to work as it should. Maybe it is possible to allocate more RAM to it? - or does it already need GPU memory more than 12GB? How does it actually work, how to play?

It’s not a fact that it helped, but I’m watching for now. Maybe it will help others too. I updated the BIOS for the motherboard. For 3+ hours the FPS was more or less normal. There were no abnormal drops. Let's see what happens next.
Unfortunately, I rejoiced too early. But I will note separately. That while you play alone. The game seems to work fine. When a second or third player appears and produces some activity. After a while, the brakes begin.
The peculiarity of the brakes is that:
When you look at a certain place, even an empty one - the FPS drops to zero.
You look at a certain (other) place in the direction of the cardinal points (west, east, north, south) on each plane there is its own FPS.
And when you restart the game, the manifestation of the lag location changes. As if the game chooses a specific location that will 100% lag.
It was also noticed that after opening the Big Map and then closing it right away - 100% FPS drops to 5-7-11. Then slowly returns to half or 1/3 of normal. The game lags.
A friend who plays on the same server. According to him, there is no lag. He has a 30x series video card, I have a 40x series.

Only in ECO such oddity was noticed.

As I mentioned in the parallel thread the only way for us to identify and fix such issues is by affected players providing the necessary data: https://steamcommunity.com/app/382310/discussions/0/4367998343679556088/

Same instructions as posted there apply, just reach out to that mail or join the discord an DM me there. You'll need to play on the playtest build and provide the data listed in that thread.
